Making A Cozy Home

For the past week or so I have had furniture and home decor on the brain. As someone who loves HGTV and home Pinterest boards, this has been the opposite of a problem. Our little apartment is really coming together now, and we really only have a few small finishing touches left.

I’ve been putting a lot of effort into trying to make our space as homey and cozy as it can be and, not to brag, but I think everything is looking hella cute. Watch out, Chip and Joanna Gaines. I figured I would share some of my favorite little spots in my home, as well as some products that help your home level up in coziness.

1. Plant it up.

I have always loved the look of a house full of greenery. Unfortunately, I was not blessed with a green thumb. So naturally, succulents are my best friend. I got this little guy as an impulse buy at Ikea. I also bought a cilantro plant and a basil/chives/parsley planterΒ from Target (my bae). I just planted the herbs yesterday though so there’s really nothing to see yet. Hopefully I will have a lovely lil indoor herb garden soon!

2. Burn some scents.

Obviously, candles are where it’s at. They make your rooms smell delicious and give such a cozy feel. Currently I am burning this rosemary mint candle, and a lavender vanilla one from the Smith & Hawken line from, you guessed it, Target.

3. Wrap it up.

Blankets are the ultimate cozy meets functional piece. As someone who is always cold anyway, I love keeping a bunch of blankets around in each room.

4. A little inspo.

I always saw these little message boards all over Pinterest and thought they were so cool. I got mine from Target. Listen, at this point we all need to come to terms with my unhealthy love of Target.

5. Make the ordinary cute af.

I have always been someone who thought that every household item you need is an opportunity to personalize your space. What I mean is, just because you need a seemingly boring household item, doesn’t mean you can’t make it your own. I needed a new soap dispenser and found this super cool one.Β It just adds a nice little touch to my bathroom and it makes me happy.

**This post was NOT sponsored by Target. I just spend a lot of time and money there. If Target would like to sponsor my posts, hit me up I would love to.
